Description

Rapidash are equestrian pokemon, a good standard measure of height at 16.75 hands at the withers. Head should be refined and ears should be alert and upright. The horn should be 2/3 the length of the skull as an average measurement. The point of shoulder to hoof (vertical) should be as close in length to the withers to coup (horizontal) as possible for a balanced and powerful stride, maximum speed is 150 mph. The back should be rather straight into the loin with a gentle curvature into the croup if the Rapidash is intended for riding. The fetlock should produce a vibrant flame. Healthy Rapidash will produce a large mane and tail flame even during rest. Shiny Rapidash are coveted for their typically higher temperature flames. Regular Rapidash tend to have temperatures between 252 degrees Celsius to 1200 degrees Celsius,  while a Shiny will produce flames between 1300 degrees and 1500 degrees Celsius. It is also believed that a Rapidash that grazes in fields with high concentrations of Copper Chloride will produce a bluer flame than the traditional grey-white mane. Look for a Rapidash with a good temperament, or raise one from a Ponyta to avoid accidental burns during riding.

Just a little doodle of a Rapidash on parchment; done with color pencil and mechanical pencil. It's like the scientific description pages in the old fauna dictionaries (or my Draconomicon).

One thing... seriously, Rapidash is supposed to be 207lbs only?... that's like... two of me. Tiny horse... typical horses range in weight from 800-1000lbs. My version is bigger. :3

The girth is not the back of the forelegs, haha, it's the circumference of the horse's barrel spanning from directly behind to withers around the ribcage, behind the legs, all the way back to the withers. :P
