Description

DATA
Charizard are not true Dragons. Although they are able to learn Dragon-type attacks and have the same intelligence as Dragonite, they are classified as Fire and Flying type. It's rather long neck supports a massive head with powerful jaws. Charizard have two horns that stem from the base of their skull; these horns do not grow very long and are a poor age-determinant. If one is trying to estimate the age of a Charizard, the best indicator is the size of the flame that engulfs Charizard's tail. Larger flames mean older, more powerful Charizard. Another clear sign of experience is the amount of scar tissue a Charizard has. Aggressive by nature, Charizard use their muscular wings to fly up to 4600 feet into the air, covering vast terrain in search of worthy opponents. Unlike Dragon-type poke'mon, Charizard are not prone to complete submission to their Dragon Rage or Rage attacks.

CHARACTERISTICS AND COMBAT
Once enraged, a Charizard will continue to attack. However, Charizard are very noble and will refrain from attacking any opponent that is weaker under any circumstance -unless commanded by its Trainer. Trainers that force their Charizard to attack weaker opponents will quickly lose its trust and judgement. Charizard are prized by Trainers for their loyalty and strength. Charizard are famous for their breath weapon, a massive flame that ignites in its throat and is expelled out of its mouth. Size and strength of this attack are determined by the lung capacity of the Charizard -this increases with age and use of fire breath-based attacks.

BEHAVIOR AND BREEDING
Charizard are not territorial. Though Charizard will occassionally dual another Charizard, it is purely for status. Colonies of these poke'mon are seen throughout the Kanto region. High concentrations of Charizard inhabit The Volcano area of the six Poke'mon Islands. Charizard typically roam large areas; however, during the breeding season (late Fall to early Winter) they will seek out a nearby colony. Females tend to remain closer to the colony in which they were born, while the males will undertake epic journeys.

TRAINER'S NOTES
Trainers seeking a Charmander can safely gain access to most Charizard colonies. Charizard will care for their offspring and share life-long bonds with their young. If a Charizard parent determines that a Trainer has great potential, it will not interefer with the capturing process.

Ball point pen sketch on computer paper.
(I always think the champion's charizard would be covered in scars and knotted tissue from healed wounds. Dragonesque creatures always look better with battle scars) :B
